NEW PROJECT!

I’m so excited to share a brand new project with you all. After a lifetime of writing, playing, and performing music, I’m grateful to have an opportunity to use all the tools and insight I’ve acquired to send music I truly care about into the world. Check it out here and read more below: tuesdaynitemusic.com

tuesday nite is a harmony-driven ambient indie rock duo from Buffalo, NY featuring singer/songwriters Sara Elizabeth and Courtney Ann.

with a friendship fostered through virtual open mics and jam sessions during the pandemic (2020), Courtney and Sara discovered their mutual love for tiny desks concerts, tight harmonies and current indie artists such as Pinegrove and Phoebe Bridgers. While digging into their classical roots and mac and cheese habits, they fondly coined their jam nites  “tiny desk tuesdays”; from there tuesday nite was born.

stay tuned for music, videos, and merch coming soon, and follow @tuesdaynitemusic on Instagram and Facebook! <3

“Bringing an indie-rock mentality to the modern folk-based troubadour school is Sara’s deal, and it’s working: With three independent releases under her belt, she’s become one of the more buzzed-about artists on the local indie-pop scene.” – Jeff Miers

Music is Art 2015

Buffalo, NY is blessed to have such wonderful organization be a part of their city. Moreover, I am feeling blessed to be able to work so closely with them. Tomorrow night (August 27th) I will be performing at Music is Art’s annual fundraiser at Chef’s Restaurant (thanks to a personal recommendation from MIA founder and Goo Goo Doll’s bassist Robby Takac), followed by my second appearance at the Music is Art Festival on September 12th.  Opportunities such as these make me remember why I love what I do, and make me excited to see what the future has in store!

Be well!

Be Well!

Indie singer/songwriter Sara Elizabeth is set to release her sophomore effort “Be Well” in the heart of her hometown of Alden, NY on Wednesday, July 30th at 7:30 pm. It has been two years since this now twenty-two year old’s well-received debut album “On the Rise”, and the development of her life and songwriting over that time is apparent in this collection of twelve new songs. Sara Elizabeth’s music takes the heart of folk music, the soul of the blues, the brain of classical, and the energy of modern indie rock and uses them to tell stories no one has ever heard. The new album is a heartfelt display of this – an honest representation of the inner workings of a twenty-something musician.

“Be Well” was produced by Sara Elizabeth along with her skilled engineer Chris Jacobs, and features her talents as a multi-instrumentalist, incorporating acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and bass. The remaining line-up includes her full time drummer Josh Schlabach on all tracks, and features bassist Michael Petrino and violinist Ana Vafai throughout. Jacobs also makes an appearance on piano. The content is raw and draws on life’s pivotal moments such as the death of a friend and of a grandparent, engagement, and the shifts in perspective we encounter as we approach adulthood – positivity, the importance of home and roots, and finding joy in the simple things. “Be Well” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, and CDBaby, as well as at all shows starting July 30th.

On July 6th, 2014, Sara Elizabeth was the featured artist on 107.7 FM Alternative Buffalo’s “Localized” program, where she debuted her brand new song “Yes”. In the coming weeks you can also see her at Dinosaur BBQ (Buffalo, July 16th), Crazy Jake’s (North Tonawanda, July 24th), Stockman’s Tavern (East Amherst, July 25th), and Nietzsche’s (Buffalo, July 28th) leading up to the CD Release on July 30th. The Release Event will be in the Alden Fireman’s Park (also known as “The Triangle”) on Route 20 in the Village of Alden, NY. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature Schlabach on drums as well as local bassist Tom Varco. Sara Elizabeth and her band will play some older material off “On the Rise”, and will then perform “Be Well” live in it’s entirety.

Welcome, Josh!

As you may or may not know, as of the end of last Summer, Joe and Anthony moved on to pursue other dreams and projects and are no longer playing with me. After many months of searching while playing solo shows, I am very excited to welcome the very talented drummer Josh Schlabach to my lineup! So far working with Josh is a blast, and we have finished up some new recordings and played our first live show together at Sportsmen’s Tavern last week. I can’t wait for you all to see what this guy is bringing to the table! Stay tuned…more news on a potential bassist  coming soon 🙂
